No, I’m not talking about Book 3—at least not yet. I’m referring to my website, updates, and these blog-style posts.
My new website is nearly complete. With that, I’m changing direction on a few things. First, I won’t be using the blog for updates as much. The Bluesky social media app has proven a better way for me to quickly share small updates and what’s on my mind. For up-to-date information, catch up with me on social media. Key posts are also cross-posted on Mastodon and Threads.
My blog will now feature articles. These will be longer-form thoughts that don’t fit within the small character limits of social media. These articles will be hosted on my website and cross-posted to Facebook. They will be less frequent but will align with what I mainly do now.
As we head into 2025, I’m upping my writing efforts. My main focus will be on finishing Book 3 of Captain’s Fate. It’s taken me some time to get the right feel for this book, but I’m past that hurdle now. Smooth sailing from here—at least until the next storm hits!
Additionally, I’m trying something smaller and ongoing for your entertainment. I’ll be writing a story on social media using only the 300-character limit allowed by Bluesky. This story will be told post by post, made up as I go. I’ll collect each post on my website, but for the latest content, follow along on Bluesky. It will be either a lot of fun or a crash-and-burn experiment!
Speaking of following along, please join my newsletter on my website. With my increased writing in 2025, I plan to release a few short stories ranging from sci-fi (some set in the “Jax” universe, some not) to fantasy. Newsletter subscribers will get the first chance to read them—and sometimes, the only chance.
I have big plans for 2025, and I hope you’re along for the ride. Here’s to the grand entertainment of words! This posts image is a digital pencil drawing by me for my new Newsletter: Lion with a Pen. Enjoy!
